  1. Through overlap and chance encounters, the restaurant and culinary school thrive through shared spaces. Restaurant and commissary programs can use the teaching kitchens when classes are not in session, and students can see firsthand what operating a restaurant or food truck looks like.

    The site connects the intersection in South Austin to a residential park. The restaurant and open deck face the park, creating a neighborhood place to meet and gather around food.

    Organized around a central atrium, kitchen and education spaces look inward, sharing and collaborating. Wall systems care for materials and integrate of uses. Efficient flows of food preparation are optimized, while organizing space for versatility.
